Summary
Nested deck can help developers efficiently organize their queries and layouts in active report development. While nested deck works without default cards, nested deck does NOT work with default cards. This document is intended to ask IBM Cognos to confirm on whether it is real problem or not.
Applicability
This document is applicable with Cognos version 10.1.1. 10.2.
Test result
A sample is created based on 'GO Sales (query)'. Please see attached package active report mht (Nested data deck with default card in active report does NOT work.mht) and report specification with version 10.2 (Nested data deck with default card in active report does NOT work.txt) . There are 4 cases:
Case 1: Both region and year are specified
Case 2: Only region is specified
Case 3: Only year is specified
Case 4: Neither region or year is specified
The case 1 is not working; it should show one record only. Case 2, 3 and 4 are working. (Please use master detail relationship between data deck and list)
