General note about The Cognos Report Toolkit

Report specification:  Relational, DMR, and Cube

Requirement

Make list as hierarchy from total, to region and then to product line

Layout

1. Create normal list as below, sorted by region, product line and product type

2. Group by region, product line and product type
3. Summary for revenue
4. Click list header & Footers, and then check overall header, region header and product line header. Please note that this structure matches list structure accordingly.

5. Click all headers and split cell
6. Drag all summary values from footers to headers, and move group items under product type column
7. Click list header & Footers, and then uncheck overall footer, region footer and product line footer.
8. Set first two column hidden, Box type =None; then change product type title as product, make padding region 10, product line 20, and product type 30

All three queries for relation, DMR are very similar.
